On Thursday, February 12th, DARKOH showed its Fall/Winter 2015 Menswear collection at The Designer’s Loft during New York Fashion Week (NYFW). As a client of mine at Haute House PR for the past year; it has been such a pleasure to be a part of DARKOH’s growth as a brand, in the editorial, online, and celebrity communities.

THE INSPIRATION: DARKOH’s Fall/Winter 2015 collection is embedded with geometric elements and aesthetic layers to break tradition. Inspired by the highland landscape, intensive warm colors combined with traditional earth tones transit into a mysterious grey and black. The juxtaposition of velvet and fur with the mature appearance of corduroy, leather and wool creates a hyper-masculine interpretation of the English look.
THE BRAND: DARKOH is a young menswear brand that combines impeccable aspects of bespoke tailoring with advanced elements of retail merchandising. The philosophy behind DARKOH is to make customized suits available as ready-to-wear product to the new generation of fashion conscious men. DARKOH strives to cater to the rising diversity of men’s individual style by combining these different facets into one collection.
THE DESIGNER: Launched by designer Joyce Darkoh in 2013, the label is derived from her made-to-order suiting background. A graduate of Germany’s prestigious Modeschule Schloss Eller, Joyce has spent over a decade refining the art of the perfect suit, by catering to a large clientele with individual requirements. As a result, she has become one of the very rare females in a male-dominant branch of bespoke tailors and designers who exclusively focuses on men suiting.
